How to Turn Off Notifications from the iPhone Tips App

Many new iPhone users are not aware of all of the different settings and features that are available on their device. Apple introduced a feature called Tips, which is a separate app that will periodically offer tips concerning different settings and features.

While this can be handy in certain situations, it can seem like an annoyance at others. If you find that the Tips notifications are not helpful, then you might be looking for a way to make them stop. Our guide below will show you how to find this setting so that you can stop all of the notifications from the iPhone’s Tips app.

Disable iPhone Tips Notifications

The steps in this article are going to show you how to disable the alerts, banners, and any other types of notifications that you might receive from the default Tips app on your iPhone. This is not going to affect notifications from any of your other apps.

Step 1: Open the Settings menu.

open settings

Step 2: Select the Notifications option.

Step 3: Scroll down and select the Tips option. Note that the apps on this screen are listed in alphabetical order.

select the Tips app

Step 4: Tap the button to the right of Allow Notifications to turn it off. All of the rest of the options on this menu should then disappear. I have turned off Tips notifications in the picture below.

Unfortunately you cannot delete the Tips app (or any of the other default iPhone apps) so disabling the Notifications in this manner is the most effective way to ensure that the Tips app does not both you in the future.

One helpful tip for using your iPhone involves a default app that you might not even know is there. Learn how to record your voice on an iPhone and see how useful it can be as a note-taking tool.
